INETA traditionally has sponsored Speakers for user group events. Starting 2005 INETA APAC sponsored user group led events in the Devcon format (an event where user group members voted for topics of their choice.)
Starting July 2007, INETA APAC now supports any kind of user group led event.
Details Of The Sponsorship Model
What kind of events do we sponsor?
We sponsor any kind of user group led event, whether it's a hands on lab, seminar, conference etc. You can use the sponsorship for event giveaways, speaker travel, venue cost etc. The choice is yours.
How much do we sponsor?
The maximum we sponsor a group is USD1000 per year, you can use it all at once or split it up across events. We have a limited supply of funds, so first come first serve is the basic principle.
How do you request sponsorship?
Step 1: Login to http://apac.ineta.org and choose the Support Menu on the left.
Step 2: Make a post in the Leader Support forum, titled: “Sponsorship request – <Your Group Name>”
Please provide following details in the post:
- User Group Name:
- Event Location Address:
- City, Country:
- Estimated No. of Attendees:
- Session Name / Speaker Name:
- Duration of Event:
- Any other relevant details:
Step 3: Download and fill in the UG Sponsorship Invoice Template. Enter all the details, Sign, scan and email to apac.admin@ineta.org.
How will I know if my sponsorship request has been approved?
Within 2 weeks of your request you will receive an approval/rejection email. Within one week from approval email, a fund trasfer will be initiated. Note fund transfers can take 3-4 working days.
What does INETA expect in return?
Information!, details about your event, both before and after your event.
Before the event: How many attendees you expect, the dates of the event, the event schedule, speakers.
After the event: Feedback from the attendees and from you.
