Happenings around Asia Pacific Most of you should have received the survey we emailed you about see more online at http://apac.ineta.org Post the survey an important question which I'd like to ask all of you, what is the value of INETA to you.
We offer a number of services: 1. Speaker Bureau - Where each user group leader can request a speaker 3 times a year and INETA completely sponsors the cost. 2. UG Event sponsorship - Where once a year we sponsor a user group related event. 3. CLT - Where we provide technical content in collaboration with Microsoft. I know a lot of you have complaints about delivery. Unfortunately we don't control that Microsoft does. 4. Academic support - Where we help new academic groups by holding workshops at universities and colleges. 5. Newsletter - The primary means for leaders to learn about activities of groups across APAC. 6. UG KIT - We send out a UG kit, with freebies such as T-shirts, banners, software giveaways etc.
What I need you to do is drop an email rating each service listed above from 1 to 10 where 10 is completely satisfied, and 1 is useless. In addition to rating the above services list, describe only one additional service which you think is of top most priority to you and your group. One last question is related to the operation of INETA, do you think INETA would be better served with paid staff, who are available all the time rather than volunteers who are not necessarily available all the time? Note: This data will be shared within Microsoft & INETA and with other leaders without your personal details.
