Happenings around Asia Pacific
TechEd North America 2009 will once again be focused into a single week for both communities
Microsoft TechEd is the premier technical education and networking event for any technology professional interested in learning, connecting and exploring a broad set of current and soon-to-be released Microsoft® technologies, tools, platforms and services.
To better serve the distinct needs of the developer and IT professional communities, Microsoft constantly looks for the best, most efficient channels to educate both developers and IT professionals on the latest technology developments.
The change in format back to a combined event is based on feedback from both our developer and IT professional audiences, and is a part of the larger technical audience event strategy. We remain excited to provide our customers the best technical education event in the industry and we are confident the combined-week model will continue to deliver the great content, education and connection opportunities it has delivered for more than 16 years. This single-week format is also consistent with other TechEd’s held across the globe (Australia, New Zealand, China, Japan, Taiwan, Brazil, South Africa and Malaysia).
To better understand the various technical audience conferences’ Microsoft offers and determine which event is right for your customer’s please review the detailed overview at the following here.

As we end off this new year, let's give ourselves a pat on our back for all the past months, where we've focused events revolving around the 2008 launch as well as Web Next Platforms, such as ASP.NET Ajax, Silverlight, Popfly, Live Services, CloudOS and more!
Next year would definitely be an exciting one, with many upcoming technologies. From all at INETA APAC, we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2009!

- 2008 China MVP Open day
2008 China MVP Open Day & Ceremony was held on Oct. 18 -19 in the Tangshan holiday conference center in Beijing. 130 MVPs from all over the country and 49 Microsoft staff came together. The theme of the MVP Open Day was the heroes in Chinese traditional Kung Fu story. We classified the MVPs into three teams named “Sanguo”, “Shuihu” and “Jinyong” representing the different technological field and application directions. MVPs in the modern technology community have the same characteristics as the ancient heroes. We really thanked the MVPs’ great contributions to the community, including evangelizing Microsoft technologies, sharing technical knowledge and promoting the development of community. Thanks to all MVPs who participated and all MS staff who provided their generous support for our MVP Open Day!
